Services

  • Dr Kath will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of your reproductive and overall health. She will arrange an array of tests to assess and identify any conditions that may affect fertility. She will take the time to discuss your results and explore the most suitable treatment options with you.

Depending on your situation, Dr Kath may recommend specific diagnostic tests to better understand your fertility health. If you have a partner, they may also be included in this process. This initial step ensures that you feel informed, supported, and confident about the next stages of your treatment.

    Female fertility assessment may involve:

    • Blood tests (including AMH, karyotype, infection screen, hormones, FBC, blood group and antibodies, and others)

    • Imaging (pelvic ultrasound)

    • Tubal patency assessment (HyCoSy)

    • Genetic carrier screening

Please bring the following to your consultation:

    • A referral from your GP (valid for 12 months) or a gynaecologist/obstetricin (valid for 3 months).

    • Any relevant medical records, results or previous fertility treatment information.

  • With the help of blood and ultrasound tests, Dr Kath can accurately detect hormonal fluctuations during your menstrual cycle. This information allows you to pinpoint your most fertile days, optimising your chances of conception through timed intercourse.

Most people trying to conceive will be tracking with an App, ovulation prediction kits or using basal body temperature or cervical mucous. Some use combinations of all of these. Whilst these methods provide excellent information, formal cycle tracking is much more accurate and can allow for the detection of additional abnormalities.

  • Dr Kath offers a variety of fertility treatments, ranging from simple interventions to more complex options. These include:

    • Ovulation induction (with oral or injectable medications)

    • Intrauterine insemination (IUI)

    • In-vitro fertilisation (IVF)

    • Intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)

Dr Kath will guide you as to which is the best suited to your particular circumstance, and ensures that you are comfortable and infomred every step of the way.

  • Pre-implantation genetic testing (PGT) is available to assess embryos for known genetic conditions or chromosomal variations, offering peace of mind and informed decision-making.

Dr Kath will discuss this option with you, and advise if it is something that will suit your particular circumstances.

  • Through IVFAustralia, a supportive donor program can be accessed for individuals or couples requiring donor eggs, sperm, embryos, or surrogacy arrangements. This comprehensive service ensures you receive expert guidance every step of the way.

  • For those looking to preserve their fertility, Dr Kath offers egg, sperm, and embryo freezing services, helping to provide you with options for the future.

  • Emotional support is a vital part of the fertility journey. Dr Kath offers access to confidential counselling services with experienced fertility counsellors at IVFAustralia. Whether you are starting treatment, currently undergoing care, or reflecting afterward, support is available whenever you need it.

This initial step ensures that you feel informed, supported, and confident about the next stages of your treatment.

  • Following your consultation, Dr Kath will arrange diagnostic tests tailored to your specific needs.

    Sonohysterogram, HyCoSy or HSG:

    • A detailed ultrasound to examine the uterine cavity and fallopian tube patency

If applicable, additional tests may be recommended based on your unique needs, and of course will include testing for any male partners. See Male Fertility page.

  • Dr Kath will meet with you to review the results of the investigations in detail. She will discuss your options with you and together, develop a personalised treatment plan that aligns with your goals and comfort level.

This is an opportunity to ask any further questions, take your time to consider your options, and feel fully informed before moving forward.

A personalised approach to your journey.

Fertility treatment is not one-size-fits-all. Dr Kath’s philosophy is simple: to provide care that is tailored, transparent, and empathetic.

For some, optimising natural fertility is all that’s needed. For others, challenges may require surgical care, IVF, or donor options. No matter where you’re starting from, together Dr Kath and you will identify the best approach — step by step, with clarity and support at every stage.

Dr Kath accesses the latest fertility technologies, research-backed treatments, and an exceptional support team through IVFAustralia.

Because every story deserves a dedicated team, and every outcome starts with trust.

Fertility challenges can feel overwhelming, but small changes can often make a big difference.

The first step is a fertility assessment. With comprehensive testing, we can identify any challenges and create a tailored plan — whether that means optimising your natural fertility, introducing medications, or moving towards assisted treatments like IUI or IVF.
